They are connected with hubs and flanges fully backlash-free via positive-locking dowel screws. Torques, displacement figures and stiffness for special types can be varied by the number of layered individual laminas. Securing the spacer The focus with the development of RIGIFLEX-N was on observing the API provisions 610 and 671. That is why the spacer is secured by a catch: If a lamina fails, the spacer will remain inside the coupling. In general the dismountable component is supplied with a laminae set pre-assembled by the manufacturer. API 610 and 671 RIGIFLEX-N complies with the specifications of API provision 610 and is optionally available in accordance with API 671. The steel laminae coupling is designed for average and serious operating conditions in the pump industry. It is used in process pumps, boiler feed pumps and pipeline pumps in chemistry and petrochemistry. It is also suitable for applications in marine and compressor industry.
