Description

3rd generation fixed structural furler KFX10.0 A structural furler is a lean and efficient alternative to the traditional roller furler. With the elimination of the aluminum profiles and the replacement of the stainless steel forestay by a textile forestay, the weight saving is impressive. The vast majority of sailing racing boats use a structural furler. This solution is less common on cruising sailboats because a sail on a structural furler cannot be used partially furled (ribbed). About 80% of structural furlers are sold in a drum version instead of the continuous line wheel. Under its sleek silhouette hides a concentrate of technology STRENGTHS - – 8 to 10 times lighter than a conventional roller furler – An ultimate compromise between performance and safety – Available in continuous line wheel or drum version – Ultra customizable for perfect integration into deck and mast chain plates – Lightweight and compact Thanks to the choice of materials and our patented and optimized bearings – Easy to use even under very heavy load (very low friction bearings) – Sleek and elegant design K TIPS - – A structural furler is usually used with an anti-torsion textile forestay – A sail on a structural furler cannot be fixed – Structural furler sails are usually directly attached by a lashing on the swivel. In order to optimize the weight and shape stability of the sail, there is no halyard. We offer an optional lock system (KHL interface).
