Description

This furling jib is made from a solid woven polyester cloth or woven dyneema, keeping the nice white look for years and years to come. The cross-cut sail design is a widely used design that is a very price conscious choice. Battens which are orientated parallel with the headstay will ensure a more stable leech. This sail is normally delivered with UV protection in the foot and leech, and E-Flex in the luff for better shape when the sail is partly furled in / reefed in heavy wind. Material The woven polyester used for our KOONAA segment comes in different qualities with high tenacity fibers that resist long term loads. Ranging from an all-round Dacron cloth to high-quality cloth with improved stretch resistance. The trioptimal design of this furling genoa distributes the forces the sail is exposed to optimally ensuring a stable sail shape. A shape that is efficiently maintained for many years, also improved with the battens supporting the leech. The EPEX layout, with optimum fiber distribution makes the sail shape extraordinary stable. We will together with you find the best solution regarding type of fibers and surface combinations. Battens which are orientated parallel with the headstay will ensure a more stable leech. Material Taffeta used as an outside layer on both sides adds strength and durability to the sail. It improves resistance against UV, tear, flex and chafe. Taffeta is available in light and heavy and in grey and white.
