Description

This mainsail is made from a solid woven polyester cloth, often with 2 ply in the leech or the woven dyneema (Hydra net) keeping the nice white look for years and years to come. The cross-cut sail design is a widely used design that is a very price conscious choice. The horizontal full battens help keep the shape, and when lowering the sail, it practically packs itself in to the lazy jack or zippack. The sail is delivered in a sail bag thus easy to store and transport. Material The woven polyester used for our KOONAA segment comes in different qualities with high tenacity fibers that resist long term loads. Ranging from an all-round Dacron cloth to high-quality cloth with improved stretch resistance. An optimum designed square head sail makes the tuning easier. When the wind increases, the top of the sail will twist, and the result is a flatter sail. In light wind the extra area gives the boat more power. The square head mainsail is with full battens, which in addition to making the sail stable when sailing also makes the sail pack itself when lowering it in to your zippack. The trioptimal design of that distributes the forces the sail is exposed to optimally ensuring a stable sail shape. A shape that is efficiently maintained for many years. Available in several cloths, were the polyester based cruising laminate provides an efficient and long-lasting sail. If you are searching for an extremely solid option, the woven dyneema (hydra net radial) is the best choice. The EPEX layout, with optimum fiber distribution allows us to build a stable and efficient Square Top. An optimum designed square head provides easy trimming and control.
