Overview
Asian teak veneer is a sliced wood product available in several thicknesses (1 mm, 1.4 mm, 2 mm, 2.4 mm). It is suitable for a wide range of applications including plywood, marquetry, table tops, furniture replating and wall or partition cladding. Its thin thickness allows bonding to many substrates, including steel, when the appropriate adhesive is used. The product is fragile and long edges are trimmed.

Advice and handling

• Prefer epoxy adhesives for marine applications (examples: G/Flex 650, G/Flex 655).
• Easy to cut: use a cutter or trimming tool.
• Degrease surfaces with acetone or alcohol before bonding.
• Very fragile product — handle with care; long edges are trimmed.
