Dampers BAYSAN Marine has developed a wide range of Damper Drive Plates to fit most engine/gearbox combinations. Reduces gear noise, o allows engine to run at lower speeds, stops spline wear. All dampers are designed to be Fail-Safe and maintain the drive if the flexible element fails. Special back plates up to 467 mm (SAE 14) diameter. The flexible elements are made from a Polyester Elastomer which has good heat qualities and is not affected by salt water, diesel and lubrication oils. Installation to the engine is quick and easy. The Damper plates are applied to the flywheel surface for the purpose of transmitting power from engine throughfby means of a)marine gear to the propeller. It transmits the power,reduces rattling sound,dampens vibration and shocks,ensures(permits) smooth operation at idle and above rpms. Designs are complied with the most common SAEJ620 flywheel standarts thus easily applicable.
