Description

Constructed with 30% carbon, 70% aramid, and 14,000 denier at the mid leech, this is a high-performance, long-lasting sail that utilizes the latest technology in scrim and laminates. It’s easy to trim and has great range in trim to perform well in everything from the lightest conditions to the heaviest winds. The sail incorporates a full-length top and head batten with four partially tapered battens. It includes sail numbers, draft stripes, insignia, luff slide system and one reef. J/88 Quantum has dedicated more time and resources to the J/88 class than any other sailmaker worldwide. With sail development headed up by J-Boat Division Leader Kerry Klingler, Quantum sails have dominated class racing in North America, including 1, 2 finishes at Key West Race Week, Charleston Race Week, Block Island Race Week, and the Can Am Challenge. Our latest Fusion M® carbon/aramid class main, AP jib, and heavy jibs are durable and fast, and our comprehensive tuning guide makes them easy to set up and tune in any condition. One of the key components of our upwind sails is how well they work together. The main and jibs are well-matched and easy to tune, using the AP jib in 0-18 knots and the heavy jib in 14-27 knots. The Quantum AP class asymmetrical's forgiving and fast shape allows the boat to sail deep angles while maintaining speed. Give your Quantum J/88 class contact a call to get more information on our fast and updated designs, and find out how we can help get your program on the podium.
