This new bar is the result of years of tests and use, the accessories and the adopted solutions are the results of small modifications introduced over the years from the first bar version. It is a concentrate of ideas suggested directly from the athletes, schools and kiters - modifications that they themselves have applied to the marine equipment for a more comfortable use. The bar is simple, safe, comfortable, long lasting, ready to be connected to the boat kite and to be used straight away.

For 07 we’ve completely redesigned the Waroo Bar. The design brief was simple; to build a bar worthy of the best selling kite in the world, but ‘Keep It Simple Stupid’.
For 07 we’ve introduced new user adjustable control, dual depower lines, stopper ball and a host of other features that make the new 07 bar the most flexible and practical kite control solution on the market.
45cm and 55cm bars. Even though the Waroo is available in sizes that exceed any other manufacturers SLE boat kites, 55cm is all you will ever need even for the largest Waroo or Waroo Pro. We recommend the 45cm bar for kites below 13m and the 55cm bar for kites 13m and above. |

| The bar is an essential component of your safety and control of your wing; it is by it which all the feelings pass. It must make it possible to control as well as possible in all the situations and does not have to limit the possibilities of figures. C is parce qu it is in permanent direct contact with your hands which we brought an special attention to comfort, all is integrated perfectly: the central end, back ends and the mini end of boat harness. Reliability, comfort and safety, the Dual Bar is a must! |
|
Once set up, your bar and lines require very little care or maintenance. Rinse with fresh water after use and avoid heavy weights or sharp abrasive objects on top during storage.
Bar Setup (already done when delivered)
First lay out the lines from left to right in the following order; red, grey/red, grey/black, white. The ends with small tags describing the length of the lines attach to your sailboat kite. The other ends attach to your bar. You will need to assemble the sliding safety system. Slide the grey pigtail through the centre of the red stopper ball and then through the steel ring. Attach your grey/black line to this pigtail. Your leash attaches to the other end for immediate and complete disarming of the kite in an emergency. Alternatively, for instant total depower, connect your leash to the attachment point next to your chicken loop as seen in the picture. Next, connect the grey/red line to the other knot above the trim strap. Now connect your outside lines to the color-matched leader lines from your bar.
There is a “PU locker” stopper attached to the chicken loop. You can use this to avoid accidentally unhooking when fully sheeted in. Simply slide the Velcro around your spreader bar, behind the hook and slide the plastic stopper through the webbing. Secure the Velcro.
There is a leash connector for boat attached to the red end of your leash. Attach this to your marine harness bar in the same way you attached the PU Locker. Your bar is now ready to go.
If you are unsure in any way, consult your instructor or GK Dealer.

| Q-Line from PowerLine Sports is a high-quality, cost-effective alternative to Q-PowerLine. Q-Line is made from 100% Spectra fiber, utilizing standard hollow braid construction techniques. The braid angle is optimized for maximum strength and minimum stretch. Q-Line is available in bulk spools in standard white, Hi-Visibility Yellow and Hi-Visibility Orange. Q-Line utilizes the same dyeing technique as Q-PowerLine, ensuring a high safety factor with good visibility in the water and the air. As with all standard braid structures Q-Line is normally sleeved at the loop ends to provide additional strength. However Q-Line is under-rated by approximately 15% and many flyers find this additional strength sufficient not to require sleeving. |
|
Q-PowerLine represents over 5 years of research and development to engineer the ultimate line specifically for traction kiting applications. The unique cored construction utilizes continuous linear strands of very high tenacity Spectra 2000® fiber encased in an extremely tight braided Spectra 2000 sheath. The resulting line exhibits the ideal characteristics for traction kiting: almost zero stretch means minimal length adjustments and incredible kite “feel” when flying, no sleeving required makes it easy to produce your own custom sets, self-lubrication ensures minimal friction during line wraps, a round cross-section minimizes parasitic wind-drag increasing both the boat kites forward speed and response to pilot input, a tight external braid reduces dirt abrasion, and a higher modulus (stiffness) than traditional lines almost totals eliminates line tendency to tangle. Proprietary coating technology allows us to produce hi-visibility safety lines in fluorescent yellow and orange with even coatings that resist the tendency to fade and rub off.
