Selden backstay tensioners have smooth, clean surfaces. Even the wire terminal is fully covered. These low-weight backstay tensioners are simple to use. All you do is insert a standard winch handle and turn. The tensioner has a maximum working load of 30 kN. The stroke is an ample 250 or 400 mm, depending on the length of the tensioner.
The toggle (D530) screws on to the cylinder piston rod for small length adjustments, not to be tensioned under load.

TOOLEE'S hook have EYE HOOK, CLEVIS HOOK AND SWIVEL HOOK
The Hooks instruction as below:
Hooks are load-transmitting components that are most often used in conjunction with chains and other equipment.
Products such as eye hooks, clevis hooks, grab hooks, shank hooks, swivel hooks, and S hooks can be used to connect lifting and rigging attachments.
Most industrial hooks are forged from alloy steel, carbon steel, or stainless steel and then heat treated, quenched, and/or tempered.
They are then painted, self-colored, or finished with yellow chromate or bright zinc. Painted hooks come in colors such as red, blue, yellow, brown, and orange.
Galvanized hooks are treated with zinc to provide corrosion resistance.
They have a silverfish appearance and are designed for outdoor or marine applications.
TOOLEE hooks are embossed with information such as chain grade, fractional size, and country of origin for traceability purpose.
For example, clevis hooks and grab hooks may be rated for Grade 43, Grade 70, or Grade 80 alloy chain. Fractional sizes for hooks are measured in English units such as inches (in) or metric units such as centimeters (cm). Common English sizes for hooks include: 1/4, 3/4, 3/8, 5/8, 5/16, and 1/2 inches. Common metric sizes for hooks vary by manufacturer, distributor, or supplier.
SOME of our shackle designed for overhead lifting and other specialized applications. Safety factor usually design with 4:1
Working load limit is the maximum load that a component is designed to support.

By adjusting the backstay tension, you can increase your boat speed and point higher. Holmatro integral adjusters enable you to alter the backstay tension accurately and quickly. Holmatro backstay adjusters are made of lightweight aluminium and have the only two-speed integrated pump.
Ergonomics meets economics. The new Series 8 Integral Backstay Adjuster incorporates several key design improvements. The pressure gauge is positioned prominently, enabling fast, accurate reading of tension values. A longer pump handle produces faster pumping motion and more tension per stroke, which delivers greater performance out of modern masts. The feed tube is seated into the contour of the cylinder, resulting in a more secure design and integrated look. And its cost has remained highly competitive. In testing, the Navtec Series 8 Integral enabled sailors to increase rigging tension quickly, precisely, and easily. With each stroke of the handle, rake increased along with forestay tension, resulting in improved roller furling gear performance, sail shape, windward performance, and speed. Use of the specifically designed Integral toggle is strongly recommended.
Holmatro hydraulic cylinders are suitable for many applications on board, from tensioning backstays and forestays to controlling outhauls and travellers. A cylinder in combination with a control panel allows accurate and quick adjustment. Advanced design techniques and materials keep weight to a minimum.
