The 8.1m was originally conceived for racing but has proved to be one of the best handling all-purpose Scorpions whether it is fitted with a single or twin two-stroke or four-stroke outboards. In 2004 it was by far the most popular model built by Scorpion in Lymington with the traditional layout of twin jockey seats with the wrap-around backrests for the helmsman and co-pilot and the full width water tight aft seat integrated with the outboard well (featured).

A top-of-the-range boat with an elegant sporty design, with handy functional solutions such as a small cabin under the console, equipped with toilet which can accommodate an adult standing up, numerous practical lockers, an elegant stern lounge with tilting backboard, which easily transforms into a large sun deck, in addition to the one on the bow and an ergonomic steering console with sophisticated 'Exclusive' wheel. All this is complemented by refined fabrics and bamboo floor surfaces, as well as a rich series of standard fittings such as a fitted fridge, an electric inflator, a chemical toilet, a supplementary battery for the utilities on board, navigation lights, an electric anchor winch, mooring straps and mooring cover. If all this elegance makes you think that the performance is adversely affected, here is just one statistic: the boat can easily reach 50 knots. The maximum in everything.

A major restyling for this time-tested model.
By radically restructuring the foredeck, which now resembles that of the 1000 IN, Lomac's most recent design, we have added deck space, making the boat even more comfortable, to the point where even enthusiasts of nautical camping can navigate in total convenience and safety.
The quest for added navigating comfort and convenience has also led to changes in the steering console. The design lines have been softened, the number of instruments have been increased, and the layout of the instruments has been rendered more self-explanatory and ergonomic, guaranteeing ease of use and trouble-free reading.
Thanks to this restructuring effort, the console now has space for a refrigerator and a stove, further increasing the ease and independence of life onboard.
We think that the 850 IN has gained in terms of its looks. Don't you?

PRO : Space and practicality
From the polyester anchor fairlead, for easier anchoring, to the optimal length and width of the hull providing greater living space, everything has been designed to make life easier for you. The high-capacity fore locker frees up the deck of all items that could hinder navigation.
Safety in all situations
The non-skid deck, the underdeck cabling passage (except for Pro 7 Man & 9 Man) and the large hollow interior make moving around on board easier. The Pro line is also introducing a new generation of higher plating making it possible to transport pointed objects (harpoons, hooks) with no risk of damaging the buoyancy tube.
Maintenance without constraints
The line’s buoyancy tubes are removable: they can thus be stored away and transported easily. They also facilitate the boat’s maintenance and cleaning.
Rich, versatile equipment
Along with their large load capacity, the Pros are adapted to all uses. From the Pro 7 Man, with its fore locker, to the Pro 20 Man, with its self-draining deck, its built-in fuel tank, its many lockers, its aft trough, etc., each boat has equipment corresponding to its size.

It's not unusual in the UK to start a trip in bright sunshine and to come home in a wind and rain. We developed the spray hood be erected in seconds.
Accessed from a zip-up storage sock in front of the windscreen, all the panels slide out of the frame for easy cleaning. This also allows it to be used as a sun bimini with only the roof pannel in place. We also have an aft closing panel option, which is handy for the occasional overnight stay.
