An underwater video camera is designed and built to record images under water. It is generally small and contained in a waterproof housing. NauticExpo offers a variety of such devices including through-hull, ROV-mounted and scuba diving models.
The through-hull version is mounted within the boat, permitting observation or recording of the waters around the vessel. Underwater video is widely used on remotely operated vehicles (ROV). This allows observation and recording at depths unreachable by other means.
Operation varies greatly from type to type and from model to model.
Choice will depend on intended use, camera dimensions, rated depth of the housing, image definition and related characteristics.
