How to choose this product

A foam-filled fender absorbs impacts between dock and ship's side during docking and departure.

Applications

These devices are found at passenger and container terminals and general cargo docks, and are used at sea when two ships are lying alongside one another.

Technologies

Such fenders usually have a polyethylene interior which absorbs impact by compression. An outer layer of polyurethane protects the fender from wear and inclement weather.

How to choose

The foam compresses, but does not rebound violently. The polyurethane cover prevents the fender from marring the ship's sides. Fender size will be chosen as a function of the dimensions of the vessels using the dock.
