Webasto BlueCool Premium
Whenever three or more independent volumes in a yacht need to be air-conditioned, it becomes worth considering
a central chiller system. To distribute refrigeration capacity over several independently operating air-handlers from
one single central cooling unit, the most flexible and simple solution is to install a chilled water circulation system
between the central unit and the air-handlers. This mixed water/glycol circuit is maintained at approx. +4 °C.
All Webasto chiller units are equipped with high efficiency multi-plate exchangers.
BlueCool Premium
Large power range to fit any size of boat or superyacht
Best in marine A/C: Ability to provide adequate cooling
wherever it is needed
Ideal basis for our integrated BlueComfort systems

With a BlueCool Classic system, each cabin has its own self-contained unit providing cool air to this cabin. It is controlled by an Air Control unit which is also located in this cabin. The generated heat is transferred into the sea via the sea water circuit.
BlueCool Classic
Perfect solution for vessels with one to three cabins
Very compact
Easy to retrofit
Extremely efficient

Complete Cabin Climate Comfort Control
- For your personal comfort
Perfect climate control with Webasto BlueComfort solutions:
Seafarers do not like limits. This is why Webasto has developed solutions to extend the boating season. Most air conditioning systems features a circuit inversion function which allows the system to be used for heating. However, moderate water tempera-tures are essential for efficient heating. Once the seawater temperature falls below 6°C, the heating circuit becomes inefficient.
Now Webasto is offering the BlueComfort system for total independence from environmental conditions. It consists of a water heating system and BlueCool air conditioner integrated into a single system. This unique solution is cost-effective and compact, providing a perfect climate via a single centralised system.
BlueComfort Classic
- Super quick warm-up of cabin,
independently of sea water
temperature
- Opportunity to have heating on
board while sailing (no need for
generator running)
- Unrivalled dehumidification power
in "reheat" mode
- Individual temperature control
for each cabin

RA60C: Technicold Chilled Water Air Conditioner
TECHNICOLD® represents the state of the art in on-board environmental climate control. TECHNICOLD®’s line of chilled water air conditioning systems has proven its mettle time and again. Incorporating self-contained water chillers, TECHNICOLD® AC systems are constructed with 316L stainless steel and other corrosion resistant materials for optimal performance and stability.
Because on-board space is always at a premium, TECHNICOLD® AC systems are built to fit the smallest footprint possible while retaining a robust build. Designed for versatility, TECHNICOLD® air conditioning systems can be placed in individual cabins or conveniently racked in a central location.
Tempered water is circulated through the vessel via a closed loop circuit. Each area of the vessel is governed by an individual zone control valve and an air handler which are thermostatically controlled to provide the desired temperature. Each modular chiller is staged to cycle on or off as the cooling loads vary, maintaining a pre-set water temperature for maximum comfort and efficiency.
TECHNICOLD® climate control systems can even facilitate electric resistant or oil fired heat. For the state of the art in marine air conditioning, the choice is clear: Technicold

Cruisair Modular Tempering Units (model MTC) are designed to provide installation flexibility, maximum performance and reliability, and easy access for maintenance and repair. MTC units are available with many different compressors to suit available power systems. MTC units have extremely large heat exchangers that make it possible to achieve loop water temperatures of 40°F (4.4°C) in cooling, and 120°F (49°C) in heating. This also allows for effective reverse cycle heating in seawater temperatures as low as 38°F (3.5°C), eliminating the need for separate fossil fuel or electric water heaters in most applications.
*All units have built-in protection devices, including: high and low pressure switches, loop water flow switch, loop water strainer, hot gas bypass valve, and loop water freeze sensor.
*A wire harness with polarized plug is included for easy electrical connections.
*Seawater manifolds are removable to allow cleaning of condenser tubing. Hot gas bypass valves maintain heating performance in cold seawater temperatures, and help prevent water freezing in the heat exchanger.
*Modulating flow control maintains the designed loop water flow rate.
*MTCs are built with high-efficiency scroll compressor.
*Custom frame and water manifold configuration, for multiple units, is also available.

The Chilled Water Logic Control (CWLC) is an advanced, microprocessor-based controller that provides precise monitoring and coordination for up to six chiller stages. All cooling, heating, and safety functions are controlled, as well as features such as automatic temperature staging, switching of lead unit to equalize run times, and hour meter for each compressor. The LCD display supplies the user with important system information through an easy, menu-driven interface.
In the CWLC system, a dedicated power/logic board connects to each chiller, and the boards are networked together to form an integrated system. This design ensures that a single board or network failure will not shut down the entire system. The power/logic board has LEDs to help with system monitoring and troubleshooting, and a replaceable EPROM for future software upgrades.

The MCP controls are 3 knob assemblies that control system mode, thermostat, and fan speed. The switch for remote condensing units has a 3-foot (.9 m) wire harness with a color-coded terminal strip. The switch for Vector self-contained units has a 6-pin plug instead of a terminal strip. Additional models are available, please see below.
*Both 115V and 230V controls are available.
*The System Mode switch enables operator to start blower before running compressor.
*The Fan Speed switch adjusts the fan from low to high.
*Cabin temperature is simply set with a click of the Thermostat.
*One model adds a fourth knob that switches from reverse cycle to auxiliary heat.
*One model provides only a single knob to control Fan Speed on slave units.
