About Us
Used in aircraft and superyachts, Aluminum HoneyComb Sandwiches meet the highest performance standards. So why not bring those benefits to smaller boats? For SALTenders, we design and build lightweight, seaworthy tenders using this same advanced technology.
At SALTenders, we are dedicated to producing premium-quality aluminium sandwich tenders, engineered for discerning sailors, explorers, and yacht owners. Our tenders range from 2.70 m to 4.20 m in length and 1.60 m to 1.70 m in width, offering excellent balance, stability, and performance within the same class as traditional RIBs.
Each boat is built using marine-grade 5754 and 5083 aluminium, renowned for its resistance to corrosion and exceptional structural performance. We employ laser welding techniques, eliminating oxidation-prone joints and preserving aluminium’s mechanical integrity over time. Unlike glued or riveted alternatives, our boats are designed to last decades—durable, lightweight, and infinitely recyclable.
The honeycomb sandwich construction, with dual aluminium skins and an aluminium core, delivers excellent strength-to-weight ratio and thermal properties. This structure naturally diffuses heat, making the seating areas comfortable without additional insulation or paint, and avoiding harmful emissions or microplastic release.
To further enhance safety, each tender includes three watertight compartments—located fore and aft—which can be left empty or filled with foam for added buoyancy. Automatic drains keep the bottom dry at all times, even in heavy splash conditions.
Peripherical protections are available in three durable, non-marking options:
Natural cork, visible in current models and offering excellent grip and aesthetic harmony
Foam peripherical fenders
Classic rubber fendering, for those preferring conventional protection
Each tender includes full-length aluminium side handles, ideal during transit, adjusting balance under load, or securing the boat during handling. Three lifting points come as standard for davit compatibility, and two storage bags are installed beneath the deck for practical gear stowage.
Customization to Fit Your Unique Needs
At SALTenders, we believe no two boaters are alike—which is why customization is at the heart of our design process. Every tender is built to reflect the style, needs, and environment of its owner.
Our modular approach allows full personalization of materials, finishes, accessories, and functionalities. Standard deck covering is non-slip cork, but can be upgraded to EVA foam, offering a softer touch and greater resistance to water and UV exposure.
Whether matching the aesthetics of your mothership or outfitting for specific use cases—like diving, fishing, or coastal cruising—your SALTender becomes a true extension of your lifestyle on the water.
Eco-Friendly and Durable Solutions
SALTenders is committed to a sustainable and responsible approach to boatbuilding. All our tenders are made from 100% recyclable materials, including aluminium and cork or recycled polymers. No paints, solvents, or inflatable components are used—meaning zero emissions, no fabric degradation, and no risk of microplastics entering the ocean.
Because of our zero-maintenance construction philosophy, you avoid the common drawbacks of inflatable or fiberglass tenders:
No air leaks or valve issues
No glued seams
No color fading from UV exposure
No routine chemical treatments or repaints
Our boats are built to last a lifetime, even under harsh marine
