About Us

Navibot USV specializes in the design, manufacturing, and commercialization of naval drones. Born from the convergence of two complementary areas of expertise, aluminum boat design with the shipyard Bord à Bord and autonomous systems engineering with Cavok Engineering, Navibot develops reliable, durable, and adaptable solutions.

The company designs unmanned surface drones (USVs) ranging from 80 cm to 5 meters, addressing a wide range of applications: bathymetry, surveillance, infrastructure inspection, environmental monitoring, data collection and scientific exploration, logistics, search & rescue, and more.

Navibot also offers the conversion of existing boats into OPVs, hybrid-architecture platforms that can be operated with a crew on board or remotely (teleoperated).

From design through to industrialization, we oversee the entire value chain: naval architecture, systems integration, automation, sea trials, operational commissioning, and more. Altogether, this represents over 20 years of combined expertise in naval engineering and autonomous systems.

Our values

To deliver reliable, durable, and adaptable solutions, Navibot relies on three key pillars.

1) An aluminum structure

The hulls of our USVs are built from marine-grade aluminum. Selected for its durability and resistance to impact, corrosion, and intensive use, the 5083 H111 aluminum alloy improves platform longevity and simplifies maintenance. It is made from recycled materials, retains all of its mechanical properties, and remains fully recyclable at end of life. This approach reflects our commitment to sustainability and responsible eco-design.

2) Smart onboard systems

The safety of our equipment relies on several complementary layers of detection and warning. A range of integrated systems (radar, 360° cameras, Automatic Identification System (AIS), visual signaling, and audible alarms) enable our USVs to detect obstacles, identify other vessels, and signal their presence to other water users. This situational awareness allows safe operation in ports, coastal areas, marinas, and high-traffic waterways.

3) In-house testing capability

At Navibot, all electronic systems are tested on an "Iron Bird" test bench before being integrated into the structure. This step validates the control electronics and all electrical interfaces, while identifying potential issues early on. This process ensures the reliability, maintainability, and operational availability of our solutions, while also making future improvements easier to implement.
