Years of building superior award-winning boat canvas and upholstery lead inventor John LeMole to develop and patent the hinges that make the Gemlock folding strut possible. The Gemlock strut, in turn, makes the innovative strapless bimini and drop top dodger possible. Notable for their elegance of design and ease of both use and storage, these applications are equally effective on sail and power boats and rapidly became a new standard in custom marine canvas.

John went on to develop a line of stainless steel hardware for marine canvas and solar panel frames that has been widely adopted for its high quality, ease of use and the improvements offered to boat styling.

We use only 316 stainless steel and 316L stainless tubing for durability and value. All of our products have been thoroughly field tested on hundreds of boats like yours.

Gemini Marine Products are sold from John’s bustling canvas shop in beautiful Rockland, Maine in the USA, as well as via our online shop and our international network of distributors.
