FLIN solar GmbH, based in Kiel, develops flexible, high-performance solar systems for maritime applications. Founded in 2021 by engineers and passionate sailors Lasse Hochfeldt and Malte Näthke, the idea was born on board – driven by the need for a reliable and independent energy supply at sea.

Many boat owners face the same challenges: limited power, dependence on shore power or generators, and often impractical installations. That’s exactly where FLIN comes in. We develop flexible solar systems that are easy to integrate on board – featuring clever mounting solutions that work exactly where they are needed.

Whether on the mast, the railing, or used flexibly on deck, our systems make the most of the available space. Bifacial modules and adjustable designs ensure reliable energy output, even in changing conditions at sea.

What matters most to us is real-world usability. We don’t just develop our products at a desk – we test them ourselves on the water and continuously improve them. The result: durable solar modules built to withstand wind, saltwater, and constant movement.
