OverviewThe second-generation Viking 70 Enclosed Bridge (EB) is a four-stateroom, five-head bluewater sportfishing yacht designed for performance, craftsmanship and fishability. Offered in Enclosed Bridge and Sky Bridge configurations, the EB provides a weather-protected helm, a secondary salon and can be specified with or without a Palm Beach Towers tuna tower.
Design & HullSubtle adjustments to deadrise, chine placement and strake geometry deliver a clean, efficient hull with a smooth, dry ride and improved fuel efficiency. The 70 is three inches narrower than the previous Generation II 68 to refine ride quality. The cockpit is lengthened and integrated into the hull and machinery layout for optimal running attitude, trim and sightlines.
Accommodations & InteriorInteriors are crafted at Viking’s Mill using horizontal-grain walnut. Layouts include a full-beam master stateroom, forward VIP and two guest staterooms, plus a crew stateroom aft with private engine-room access. The galley is configurable as a peninsula (two stools) or island (three stools). The salon features an L-shaped settee to port and a raised dinette to starboard with rod storage beneath.
Bridge & HelmThe enclosed bridge offers a one-piece windshield, flush-mounted displays and a clean helm arrangement. Access to the salon is via a fitted interior staircase. The bridge opens aft to a deck with seating and a docking helm station for improved control when maneuvering.
Engineroom & SystemsThe engineroom is arranged for accessibility and serviceability, finished in Snow White Awlgrip for enhanced visibility. Key onboard systems include a Spot Zero Double Pass watermaker, ElectroSea raw-water treatment, Viking ventilation and fire suppression, propeller pockets and electronic power steering as part of Viking’s Advanced Propulsion System.
Propulsion & PerformancePrimary propulsion options: MAN V12X 2200 (2200 MHP) or MTU 12V2000 M96Z (2222 MHP). Performance targets align with recent demos, where a similar hull reached approximately 43 knots with twin 2200 MHP MAN engines and flow-aligned rudders and struts.
Fishability & EquipmentEngineered to accept a Palm Beach Towers tuna tower, outriggers and omni-sonar integration. Cockpit arrangements include dry, refrigerated and freezer storage; bridge and deck seating is configured for fishing operations and crew comfort.
