Platform supply vessel (PSV) offshore support vessel Guo Hai Min Yao

New name: Guo Hai Min Yao. A medium-sized platform supply vessel (PSV vessel) of the proven PX121 design, capable of supporting offshore activities which are being carried out further from shore and in deeper waters. The vessel can accommodate 30 persons and keep a speed of approx. 14.5 knots. The PX121 vessels boast a performance normally expected from a larger PSV. Being able to do this at a medium-sized PSV cost, with reduced emissions and fuel consumption. The ship owner gets a favourable combination of two market areas. The vessels are of the X-BOW® hull line design, which is efficient on all draughts. A factor critical for PSVs, as they frequently operate with varying draughts. The X-BOW® has unique and documented qualities in head seas, in which the bow shape eliminates slamming and reduces bow impact, noise and vibration. This leads to better performance and increased operability, increased crew comfort and safety and reduced fuel consumption. Each ship will be equipped with a dynamic positioning system Class II and meets the requirements of Comfort Class. The contract with Ulstein includes the deliveries of design, engineering and main equipment. An extensive delivery from Ulstein Power & Control includes integrated control systems, bridge (radio, navigation), switchboard, diesel-electric propulsion and frequency converters and communication systems. A vessel of the PX121 design has an overall length of 83.4 metres, a beam of 18 metres and a load capacity of approx. 4,000 tonnes. The vessels are equipped with the most modern solutions for DPII (dynamic positioning), oil recovery and fire-fighting.
