Product overviewThe SD9500 is a multi-purpose dipping sonar designed to detect small and low-signature underwater targets such as divers, swimmer delivery vehicles, AUVs and midget submarines. It is intended for harbour protection and for surveillance of platforms or vessels when stationary. The sonar head is lowered over the railing using an electric winch and connects to the topside Sonar Processing Unit (SPU) via a hybrid cable; deployment depth is at least 150 m.
Highlights- Optimised for operation in shallow and confined waters with 360° horizontal coverage; compact design enables deployment from vessels, floating bases or fixed structures.
- Adaptable Launch & Recovery System (LARS): options from a simple manual boom to advanced automated LARS tailored to the platform.
- Designed for detection of low-signature targets through wide bandwidth, high resolution and elevated receiving sensitivity.
- Supports remote operation and remote LARS control from a mother platform or onshore station, enabling use on unmanned platforms.
