Rapido 53XS
The Rapido 53XS (“Xtra Space”) is designed for sailors who want the comfort of three cabins without sacrificing the exhilarating performance that defines the Rapido range.
Naval architects Morrelli & Melvin achieved this balance by extending the proven Rapido 50 hull form below the waterline, while flaring it above to create a wider deck and generous interior volume. The result is a trimaran that adds just 800 kg to the overall weight yet delivers exceptional speed and handling.
Performance Highlights
Race-proven pedigree: Hull #01 finished 2nd place in the 2025 Aegean 600 and, in the ARC Europe rally, crossed the finish line of the 890 nm first leg (St. Maarten to Bermuda) 230 nm ahead of the next competitor.
Carbon engineering: Constructed with prepreg carbon, cured in an autoclave for ultimate strength-to-weight ratio.
Foil-inspired efficiency: No central daggerboard; instead, two curved prepreg carbon daggerboards in the floats maximize lift and agility.
Twin rudder control: Fixed prepreg carbon rudders on each float hull extend to the main hull’s lowest point, improving shallow water access and providing balanced steering.
The Rapido 53XS embodies speed, comfort, and advanced composite engineering, making it a true bluewater multihull for sailors who demand both performance and liveability.
