IntroductionThe compact single‑hander is a fast, agile recreational catamaran designed for quick deployment: ready to sail in 20–30 minutes from a campervan. The NEO is very lightweight and packs down small. Suitable for learning to sail, beginners, teenagers and up to two persons on inland waters. Key features are low weight, small packed size and simple handling.
Compact packingThe two carry bags for the lightweight NEO measure only 185 cm in length and fit easily into a campervan or car.
Innovative hullConvex hull undersurface increases buoyancy, payload and safety. The Wavepiercer bow reduces resistance at bow and stern and provides a smoother ride with less spray. Hull shape was developed and optimized in towing tank tests; hand‑made from robust Grabner auto‑tire rubber fabric (EPDM).
Rigid profile frameProfile frame made of saltwater‑resistant anodized aluminium with square plug connections provides torsional stability. The trampoline is tensioned directly into the frame for a clean fit.
Daggerboard & rudderLong, hydrodynamically optimized aluminium centre daggerboard reduces leeway and is infinitely adjustable in rake; it automatically kicks up on grounding. High‑speed rudder in sturdy aluminium with a servo effect ensures smooth steering and releases automatically on grounding.
Easy assemblyThe mast foot joint simplifies stepping and lowering the mast; the mast can be raised by one person. Three‑part mast with square connections forms a professional profile together with the sail; double shrouds and an additional forestay increase safety.
SailsSquare‑head mainsail (6 m²) with boomless, fully battened cut in heavy Dacron for good shape even in light winds; large reinforced windows for all‑round visibility. Headsail (3 m²) reaches to the mast; continuous furling jib simplifies handling.
