500 DS CUSTOM LINE If you’re looking for a blue water-capable deck saloon cruiser able to take up to eight people cruising in comfort and luxury, look no further. With up to 4 double cabins available the 500 DS is a yacht that can be custom-built to an arrangement that works for you. On deck, the cockpit is well sheltered and large enough to accommodate eight people comfortably. Forward of the mast is a flush deck, giving a large social area for use at anchor. Of course you don’t have to sail with seven others, you could choose to sail the 500 DS with your partner and head off for extended cruising, to enjoy remote and beautiful locations together. In that case, you may want more space and fewer cabins. You could have a workshop, office or snug areas instead, we can tailor the space on board to your needs. We can locate the galley forward of the saloon or in a more sociable position, on the same level as the raised seating of the saloon. We have found the most popular location for the galley is in the passageway to the owner’s full-beam suite aft. Here the galley benefits from a work surface on both sides, making it an ideal location for those who want to be able to cook offshore, or those who are bluewater cruising for extended periods. For those who plan to do less long-distance sailing enjoying the view from the saloon could perhaps be a better option. If you don’t choose to have the galley located here, the space opposite the comfortable raised seating could be more seating with custom-made armchairs or a navigation station.
