Overview
The Sport Coupé 42 is a 12.40 m multifunctional cabin boat designed for year-round long-distance transport in real weather. The layout converts easily between enclosed and open modes via sliding side doors, an aft sliding door and roof hatches, providing flexibility for light, ventilation or sheltered passages. The design focuses on Scandinavian simplicity, functional use of space and comfortable accommodations for passages and social activities.

Performance & Hull
The Sport Coupé 42 shares handling and seaworthiness with the Sport Tender 42. Cruising speed range is 20–40 knots, with 45+ knots possible with larger engines. Range: approx. 205 nm with outboards, 285 nm with inboards. The hull is a well-balanced, air-lubricated twin-stepped design with a low planing threshold, a fine bow to cut waves and increased flare to deflect spray, resulting in a dry and stable ride in adverse conditions. Hull and deck are vacuum-infused for consistent laminate strength.

Saloon & Deck Saloon
The saloon is bright with panoramic windows and modular seating that adapts to transport (forward-facing seats), dining (dinette) or social seating (large U-sofa). The deck saloon places the galley on deck level for cooking in daylight around the social area. The saloon sofa converts to an extra berth and blackout curtains allow sleeping or shade. Two electric glass roof hatches increase daylight and ventilation.

Deck, Walk-around & Aft Deck
Walk-around passages give wide side access and generous deck space. Extra-wide sliding side doors and a sliding aft door permit easy two-person passage. The aft deck is redesigned for more usable area with a folding backrest on the aft sofa, side cushions, folding bench, dedicated fender holders and an accessible 2,500-litre stowage locker. The extended, double-moulded swim platform is integrated with the hull; optional hydraulic platform on outboard versions lowers for water access and serves as a passerelle. Design details include 40 mm stainless steel railing and polished chrome hull logo. An aft deck shower is included.

Accommodation
Two separate below-deck cabins sleep two couples or a family of four. The forward and mid cabins each have double beds. A separate head includes a shower and adequate headroom. Improved ventilation and sound insulation keep cabins comfortable. Vacuum-infused Divinycell hull provides thermal insulation; inverter air conditioning is available for overnight comfort.

Helm & Controls
The helm seats two in a compact layout with storage nearby and the option to stand or sit while driving. The dashboard fits twin 12-inch plotters. New custom helm seats give lateral support to reduce fatigue. Joystick steering is available. The Volvo Penta inboard option includes Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) and Joystick Docking; outboard option supports Mercury joystick piloting.

Standard propulsion: 2 x Mercury Verado V8 300 hp. Alternatives: 2 x Mercury Verado V10 425 hp or Volvo Penta D4 DPI 2 x 320 hp inboard.
