Oil containment and absorption in a wide variety of marine applications Versatile sorbent barriers for containing and removing oil spills on water Ecosorb® skirted sorbent booms, manufactured by Markleen, are a highly efficient and versatile product for containing and removing oil spills in ports, harbours and protected waters. One side of the boom is exposed to the spill to absorb it, while the reverse side features a skirt with a ballast chain for oil containment, making this product an excellent solution for a multitude of different cases involving oil spills of varying sizes. Ecosorb® skirted sorbent booms come with strong metal connectors to make up a boom barrier of the desired length, as well as an overlapping velcro flap at each end to seal off the gap between booms. Ecosorb® skirted sorbent booms are made of top quality sorbent materials and have been independent laboratory tested to confirm their high sorbent capacity, as well as their outstanding mechanical properties and behaviour in adverse conditions.
