Overview
The MDC-2040 is a 10.4-inch color LCD marine radar designed for navigation and collision awareness on small and medium vessels. Standard model with basic ranges from 0.0625 to 48 NM and 4 kW output. Antenna options: 3 ft or 4 ft open.

Features

• Smart selection for safe navigation: helps distinguish between moving and stationary targets to support watchkeeping.
• True trail function: displays accurate motion tails for other vessels; land and buoys remain shown as stationary even while own vessel moves.
• Dual range display: simultaneous long- and short-range split-screen view for close-in and distant targets.
• Real-time smooth head-up indication: display updates proportionally to heading changes for intuitive situational awareness.
• ATA (Automatic Tracking Aid) option: supports automatic tracking of up to 50 targets with vector and numeric movement data; configurable acquisition zone to lock entering targets.
• AIS interface (option): when connected to an AIS receiver displays information for up to 100 AIS targets including name, heading and speed.
• CCD camera input: integrates above-deck or below-deck CCD camera feeds for monitoring while navigating.
• Crisp, viewable display: LCD bonded to acrylic sheet with anti-reflection coating to improve visibility in direct sunlight and reduce condensation.
• RGB output: external monitor output available to display radar away from helm.
