Get stable, reliable wind data even in rough conditions. The FT Motion Sensor / Dynamic Monitoring Device fuses IMU and GNSS data to remove vessel motion from apparent wind, with true wind output when heading and speed are valid. Output via NMEA0183 and NMEA 2000.
IMU gives roll, pitch, heave and rate of turn. GNSS gives position, SOG/COG and PPS time. Fusing the two removes vessel or platform motion from apparent wind. The result is a stable, “sanitised” wind output, with true wind available when heading and speed are valid. Sanitised output is delivered as NMEA0183 and NMEA 2000. No need for additional processor to compensate for motion at the masthead wind sensor.
