Nautical Teak, used on yachts, is considered the wood par excellence for use in the nautical sector. Its mechanical and aesthetic properties allow for unparalleled levels of elegance and practicality. It is naturally resistant to insects, fungi, and salt, which helps limit these problems.
The natural oiliness typical of Nautical Teak (much less present or totally absent in other origins) allows minimal expansion compared to other woods tried as alternatives. It also has exceptional anti-slip properties, making it the main wood in the nautical sector.
It is important to note that this is a natural product, not manufactured in a laboratory. Exposure to sunlight will even out light shades that appear after planing. The range of possible finishes is very wide, and its processing is extremely easy and flexible.
These characteristics make Nautical Teak a unique wood with no equal. Despite years of research and development into alternative materials, no product has been able to replicate its properties.
