Description

The twin-piston hydraulic gangway is an advanced system installed at the stern of vessels (especially yachts and cruising boats) that serves both as an access gangway and as a means of lifting the tender. It is in fact a telescopic or tilting walkway, made of resistant materials such as stainless steel and teak, iroko or non-slip materials (fake teak) for grating walking. It is equipped with two hydraulic pistons, connected to a control unit, which control its movements. The two pistons work independently to raise and lower the walkway, adjust its inclination, extend it or retract it Their length varies (approximately 2-4 metres) and their capacity can exceed 200-300kg depending on the model. Control is via remote control and on-board control panel. Advantages Smooth and stable movement thanks to the two pistons greater load capacity than simpler systems multifunctional use (catwalk + lift) greater safety and precision in movements Disadvantages higher cost requires plumbing maintenance requires space and well-planned installation
