While technically not a true chronometer in the strict sense — that being a clock with a constant rate of error — the high quality quartz movement deserves the highest rating that a quartz movement can have. The box itself is made from fine grade beechwood with a mahogany finish, and gold flashing finishing on all metallic fixtures. The clock is encased in a solid brass, gold flash housing. The clock has a 12-hour Roman numeral dial with sweep second hand. Guaranteed accuracy is less than 1 second per day error.
