Description

Product description
The TUKAN K is a double-jib port crane with a seaward-mounted integrated hopper. Discharge mechanisms attached to the hopper underside enable direct loading of trucks, trains and conveyor belts, and landside discharge onto storage areas and stockpiles. Compared with trolley-type loading bridges, the TUKAN K has reduced moving masses, yielding improved energy efficiency and lower dynamic loads.

Advantages and possible uses
  • Adaptable hopper geometry tailored to application
  • Short load paths, reduced cable and pendulum lengths, favorable center of gravity from double-jib design
  • Lower energy consumption, reduced dust emissions and low noise during operation
  • Lower capital and operating costs due to reduced moving masses
  • High throughput for bulk handling operations
  • Semi-automatic operation possible; optimized travel paths with minimal turning movements

Applications
  • Bulk loading and handling at ports and terminals
  • Use in shipyards and marine terminals
  • Direct loading to trucks, wagons and conveyor belts; discharge to yards and stockpiles

Characteristics / technical specifications
  • Type: double-jib crane (TUKAN K)
