Overview
The AQLBLTX Lifebuoy Light is ATEX & IECEx certified for use in hazardous marine atmospheres (zones 0, 1 & 2) with a T4 temperature class. It provides automatic activation on water contact and is designed for direct mounting to lifebuoys in offshore and on-board safety applications.

Fitting

• Suitable for installation on all types of lifebuoys; avoid mounting in electrostatically conductive locations (unearthed conductive capacitance 15 pF)
• Delivered with a fixing clip and rope; clip should be mounted adjacent to the lifebuoy and the light secured to the clip and tied to the lifebuoy
• When deployed, the light must release from the clip and remain attached to the lifebuoy while floating

Operation

• Double activation system: gravity sensor causes the head to float, water sensor triggers light
• On water contact the lamp head floats and the water sensor activates a flashing white light ≥2.0cd
• Rated operating duration: ≥20 h above 2.0cd (15 h at -1°C)
• The light automatically switches off when sensors leave the water

Approvals & Certification
Certified to relevant marine and hazardous-area standards including MSC.81(70) as amended, MED, USCG, ATEX & IECEx. Also certified/approved to IMO SOLAS and UK MER where applicable.
