Your suggestions for improvement:
A boat computer functions in exactly the same way as other types, but has features designed to render it impervious to the marine environment.
ApplicationsToday, computers can carry out many on-board functions provided they are compatible with the AIS, radar, GPS, log, anemometer or other devices found on a vessel. They may also constitute an important navigational tool.
Now that recreational boaters have access to satellite communications systems, an on-board computer can enable them to remain in contact with those ashore, even during long passages. A computer also can run one of the numerous weather programs now available.
Laptops intended for use at sea are better than their shoreside counterparts at withstanding exposure to moisture, impact and, in many cases, splashing. Most consume little power and have a screen that remains readable even in direct sunlight. In addition, they have a hard drive that is damped against shock and vibration, or even a flash-type drive to overcome such problems common in other computers.
How to chooseThe use of an inverter for charging the battery extends time of use. The only disadvantage is the presence of wires on the cabin sole. Keep in mind software installation and setup requirements for using the computer with different devices or as a multimedia tool. Consult the manufacturer or reseller if necessary.
