ADVANCE has created a new kite for land traction - the OFFROAD. The OFFROAD was developed as an open cell and is issuing for kite ski and kite
snowboarding. It can also be used with a buggy, roller or mountain board.
For our designer, Robert Graham, the most important target was to create a kite that is very stable at the zenith, extremely manoeuvrable and which has little vertical traction at the zenith for optimum ease of use. Finally reaching these targets ADVANCE set up a new dimension.
A variable aspect ratio from 2.7 to 3.3 depending on the size.
From 10 to 20 cells with the 2 extremities closed. Proven Swiss construction and finish.
The land kites series OFFROAD (4lines) has just been updated :
- You will be able to control the new OFFROAD with either a bar or handles.
An easy handling will allow you to choose between one system and the other.
- The bar with the de-power system of the new OFFROAD increases the wind range, thanks to the withdrawal of the brakes trail. Flying with a bar
allows you to totally concentrate yourself on your support (skis, snowboard, mountain board,) and to make technical manoeuvres easily.
- Flying with handles is particularly suitable with a buggy and offers you more delicate flying.
- The series has been completed with 2 new kites. One smaller size (2.4 m2), perfect with strong winds or splendid toy for initiation. A bigger size
(10m2), a weapon for light winds and a model for high agility.
- To complete this, the OFFROAD has beautiful new colours, which will be different for the five sizes of the OFFROAD series.

Evolution evolved
In its second year, our dedicated bow design has seen an intense year of refinement. Working within the parameters of the original bow concept, we have focused on increased stability in the smaller sizes and improved steering and responsiveness in the bigger sizes. In 06 the Halo was heralded by magazines and testers alike for its direct steering and responsiveness.

The Vapor focuses on maintaining the steering characteristics of a high performance C-Kite with a new level of extended wind range and depower traditionally only found in bridled kites. The Flat 5 configuration features a super functional 5 line design without any additional bridling. The Vapor is excellent for all levels of riding from dedicated wave riding to dedicated freestyle and is perfect for hooked in or unhooked riding.
Unlike traditional 5th line kites, the Vapor has a 5th line fixed stopper which keeps the 5th line exactly the same length as your front lines. This enables you to adjust your depower and 5th line length in one go without having to adjust and re-cleat your 5th line every time the wind changes. It also prevents “bowed out” slack section in the fifth line and maintains the correct amount of tension on the leading edge. BOW Versatility, C-Kite functionality
We put an incredible amount of energy into building a true hybrid kite that combines the incredible wind range and sheeting ability of a BOW kite with the direct steering and bar simplicity of a 4-line kite.
Originally developed as an all-around freeride kite, the combination of depower and positive steering has made the Flow hugely popular with our wave testers. By moving to a less swept wingtip when compared to a pure BOW design, the Flow requires less bar movement to achieve a given amount of depower while almost eliminating bar pressure. This unique geometry has allowed us to run a bar system that does not need the outside pulleys and gives the Flow excellent unhooked performance combined with incredible rider feedback and sensitivity.
