This Crowther designed highspeed displacement hull was developed as a rock solid family cruiser for the Patagonian channels.
As a 50 ft vessel she offers a lot of space and is divided into four double cabins each with individual head and shower, a very spacious open living and dining area with a big settee and a generous forward view, followed by an almost household size galley and a bar with a cocktail table and a couch on the opposite side. The steering station is on top of the aft cabins, three steps higher than the living area. The steering station features a part of a very complete instrument panel for boats, two helm chairs and on the portside is a cosy sitting area, with a terrific all around view. From the steering station you have direct access either to the aft cockpit with an outside settee or to the raised fly bridge with independent steering station.

The client approached us, referring to the positive press reviews of the 50ft Crowther designed >>Molly, but wanted a more marine trawler type look, a more personalized interior and a 2.000 mile range. Barbara Mae was supposed to be a very seaworthy, fuel efficient, go-anywhere live-a-board vessel.
Because of the 2.000 mile range we had to accommodate more fuel storage and therefore stretched the design to 55ft, for increased buoyancy. As we are custom and one-off builder we changed the exterior and interior styling radically and converted the design due to the wishes of our client.

Based on a different but proven fuel efficient hullform design, this long range passagemaker proves to be a very comfortable and seaworthy vessel and is actually cruising in the south pacific.

Before launching our own production line for a larger model – the SOPHIE XL' - our Design team will develop "one-offs" models according to our clients' very personal desires. Appropriate material (aluminium or fibreglass) will be selected on an ad-hoc basis, depending on our customer's preference. The construction shipyard will be appointed subject to our clients' choice and the given availability at time of decision.
The SOPHIE XL' will be introduced once we have assessed what our clients wishes are, and in the meantime, we will endeavour to work alongside them to ensure they get exactly what they want in terms of New Builds.

Safety – Space – Range – Solidity
The Kéréon 77' designed by Galileo Yacht perfectly illustrates the concept of the range, which also features 57' and 47' models. Its specification stipulated maximum fuel consumption of 1.2 l per nautical mile. The bow bulbs and the slick styling of each boat catamaran hull have achieved this target, giving the Kéréon 77' a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Facilities found on a huge fly-bridge of 614 square feet complement the overall luxury of this vessel: a fantastic Jacuzzi, a barbeque, an excellent rounded bar, a comfortable sunbathing area and, finally, two jet-ski that add spiciness to the Sunreef flavor. But there is even more: the vast cockpit that will be an ideal place for relaxing at anchor for boat or escaping from the sun. All that for entertaining in style and comfort. There are two versions of interior design to offer to the Clients:

Thanks to the blend of two main veneers: dark and light brown and the light coloured upholstery with some dark details to accentuate the contrast we obtain the sumptuous and rich style. The ceiling will be a continuation of harmonious furniture shapes and will look like a sculpted one.
- Modern/Minimalist Design
Lighter and simplier style that the previous one. Light colours with strong details accentuation, only natural tissues and materials, simple, sharp shapes, elements of bamboo to give the impression of lightness, softness and nature, as well COLONIAL touch.
