The Raptor 16 Expedition is made from the same molds as the Competition model but comes with:
- Additional storage compartments in the main hull and ama.
- A roller furling mast step to allow the sail to be rolled up when not in use and to be reefed in high winds, along with the required blocks, cam cleats, and fairleads.
- A special sail without battens and with minimal roach to the leech to make it suitable for roller furling.
Most owners of the Raptor 16 Expedition also order the optional Raptor Sidecar™ accessory which permits the carrying of a passenger or extra camping or fishing equipment beyond what can be carried in the main hull.

That gave birth to a true work horse, with two sealed compartments, so you can bring both your fishing and camping gear and set yourself for the most exciting fishing campaign of your life: you’ll silently access remote coves and otherwise unreachable eddies, while being completely autonomous and free to move anywhere, or to simply hold on to your position, as long as needed...

As in the other Chesapeake™ variants, the Double and Triple are built solidly, with epoxy and fiberglass on the inside, outside and deck of the 4mm okoume hull. For safety, watertight bulkheads are standard. The cockpits are deep and snug, with the standard Rapid Pulse backbands offering excellent lumbar support, while the cambered deck affords plenty of paddle clearance.
The Chesapeake Triple™ can accommodate three adults, but we have found over the years that most paddlers will use the center cockpit for children or pets, or for light gear stowage with a cockpit cover snapped in place. The Triple's ability to carry families with a couple of kids or dogs is a major attraction, but it's too big to paddle singlehanded without auxiliary power unless it's a glassy calm day.
Both the Double and Triple make terrific base hulls for the CLC SailRig, having the volume and waterline length for fast and efficient "beach cruising."
There was a lot of demand but hardly anything like it in 2002 when CLC unveiled the Chesapeake Sport Tandem. This very narrow, very fast double is perfect for athletic couples who want to really cover the miles, whether it's for excercise, super-fast touring, or winning races. Most of our Sport Tandems are sold to people who watched one disappear over the horizon in front of them during a race. While intended for racing or working out, the Sport Tandem can still carry a good load of gear, making it ideal for multiple-day unsupported races like the Watertribe Everglades Challenge.

Elegant lines result in real performance. The sweeping sheerline complements the nicely balanced ends; there isn't an awkward hump or bump anywhere. The sheer panels are "tumbled home" to reduce windage and improve paddle clearance. Like all Chesapeake Light Craft kayak kits, the decks are smoothly cambered, not cut up into a faceted, homebuilt appearance.
West Greenland-style hulls provide telepathic handling to the skilled paddler, while initial and secondary stability are ample for the newly initiated. On the water, the Shearwater demonstrates excellent poise and responsiveness in a broad range of conditions, edging turns easily when leaned buy tracking straight when pushed hard in surf. A cutaway bow and skeg-like stern ensures tracking even in extremely rough water. The relatively low profile means you'll spend less time on corrective strokes and more time covering ground.

The Quest is designed for those paddlers requiring a fast yet stable kayak that is ideally suited to longer open sea crossings and expedition work. Although the same width as the Capella, the Quest benefits from a longer waterline length thus ensuring an excellent turn of speed and smooth transition of choppy waters.
Manoeuvrability is less than kayaks in the exploration category, but more experienced paddlers will find that leaning the kayak produces excellent carved turns. The Quest has slightly increased load capacity over kayaks in the Exploration range.

This Greenland style kayak is an excellent choice for the long distance tour. The Ysak' lengthy water line makes for good tracking and provides excellent mileage with minimal effort. All models are PE 3 layer sandwich construction giving extra buoyancy and hull rigidity. The Ysak takes an optional rudder and can be generously outfitted.

This mainstay of the P&H Range has all of the design characteristics expected of a classic British sea kayak. Its moderate 'V' hull provides a good mix of tracking performance and comforting initial stability whilst soft chines give responsive edging coupled with confidence inspiring secondary stability.
Like all kayaks in the Exploration range, the Capella is designed to excel as a sea kayaking all-rounder; featuring sufficient manoeuvrability to explore a coastline's nooks and crannies, whilst retaining plenty of speed for long open crossings.

The 'Cetus' is a fast cruiser designed as a load carrier. It has become the natural choice for paddlers looking for a stable expedition platform or a fast, easy to paddle boat for long distance paddles.
However it's not just a boat for long trips though, it's equally as capable being used as a fast day cruiser. The Cetus sees a resurrection of a concept we were playing around with ten years ago: the fourth hatch in easy reach in front of your cockpit. It's proving more and more popular with paddlers who want somewhere quick and easy to reach to stow a camera or day gear when things are getting a bit rougher.
Expedition capable: The load carrier of choice, the Cetus lets you travel self-supported in comfort with the four hatches it has plenty of storage for equipment.
Effortless distance: The length and 'shallow V-hull' add up to a fast, efficient boat that won't take any time at all to reach the horizon.
Easy to paddle: The fairly wide hull means rock solid stability whether you're travelling loaded or not.

Certainly not a kayak for the beginner, the Bahiya is best suited to experienced paddlers looking for a rewarding kayak to paddle or the enthusiastic intermediate looking for one to stretch them and keep them progressing along a learning curve.
