Hydronic centralized units HCU with no limit of capacity belong to Hydronic centralized systems (HCS). Systems above 60.000 btu/h are three-phase supplied. Centralized hydronics units sea water condensed circulate fresh water in a fan coils net for the distribution of heat and cold into the cabins.
Two models are available:
1) HCU single with off board only the electric box
2) PHCU preassembled of slightly bigger dimensions but including in a monobloc all fan coils net accessories such as the circulation pump, the expansion tank, the filling kit with manometer, the electric box, allowing so a cut of installation costs for boat yards. |

| Split heat pumps systems are available in the range 8.000 - 24.000 btu/h. Condensing and evaporating units are separated and are joined during installation by refrigerating gas copper insulated pipes. Maximum distance along the pipes between the two units is 6 mt. This solution is suggested when you don't want the compressor to work for noise reasons in the cabine to condition. All systems are condensed by sea water circulated by mean of magnetic drive or self priming pumps. Evaporating fan coil section captures air through an air inlet and distributes conditioned air through flexible ducts to small air outelts intalled on cabine furnitures. Such systems are suggested for boats below 45' and ideal to be installed during boat building or during boat restoration. The split controller is available both in remote control or wall thermostatic versions. A wide range of air distribution accessories is available to personalize the installation. The assembly can be done also with the boat in sea by a medium skilled board frigorist. |

Cruisair R model remote condensing units are seawater-cooled, reverse-cycle air conditioners for cooling and heating in marine applications. The small R units are available in capacities from 5,000 to 16,000 BTU/hr (1.5kW to 4.7kW). Remote condensing units are installed in the engine room or other mechanical space and can operate with one or two Cruisair DX air handlers, of matched capacity, mounted up to 50ft (15m) away. Quality, marine-grade components are used throughout to ensure a long service life.
*Dependable recip. compressors are vibration isolated.
*Available with digital or mechanical controls.
*Optional vibration kit reduces noise transmission.
*Non-HCFC refrigerant available.
*Refrigerant: R22 or R-417A |

CS type remote condensing units are seawater-cooled, reverse-cycle heat pumps designed for cooling and heating marine environments. Standard CS condensing units are available in capacities from 6,000 to 16,000 BTU/Hr. To choose the proper size CS unit, primary consideration should be given to calculated BTU loads and available power supply. These condensing units can be installed with up to two Marine Air model E-FD air handlers. The total capacity of the E-FDs should be equal to the condensing unit capacity.
Model CS condensing units are designed for installation in the vessel’s engine room or other mechanical space. They are not affected by moisture, normal vibration, or ambient temperatures up to 140°F (60°C). No ventilation is required
*Hermetically sealed, high efficiency compressors provide a significant reduction in amp draw
*Copper encased cupronickel condenser coils are highly resistant to corrosion from continuous seawater flow
*Expansion device and check valve assemblies control load balancing during unit operation
*Pressure switches, thermal overloads, and start components afford constant system protection and proper operation
*Units charged with “Green Gas” R-417A (non HCFC) refrigerant are available |

Cruisair RE model DX air handlers are draw-through (ducted) units designed to be used with Type R remote condensing units. They are typically installed under a settee or bunk, or in a locker, with air ducted to a discharge grill high in the cabin. They are available in sizes from 4,000 to 36,000 BTU/hr (1.2kW to 10.5kW). Corrosion-resistant materials are used throughout, and the unit is fully insulated to prevent secondary condensation.
*Deep, “positive-flow” drain pan with anti-slosh, anti-fungal liner.
*Copper tube/aluminum fin evaporator coils are designed for hot/humid marine environment.
*Washable air filter included.
*Micro-particle filters available.
*Includes mounting kit with vibration isolators.
*Optional high-velocity blowers on REU models provide increased airflow and lower noise. |

E-FD remote evaporators are draw-through, ductable, DX air handlers incorporating variable-speed blowers and integral water-displacing condensate pans. Each unit is pre-charged, test run in all operating modes, and leak checked prior to shipping. E-FD units are ductable and designed to be installed in low cabin areas (under berths, lockers, etc.) and ducted to high supply air grilles.
These units have rotatable blowers providing flexibility to fit specific space requirements and allowing for proper duct work installations. Transition boxes may be used to supply air to more than one area from a single unit.
When choosing the proper model E-FD DX Air Handler, primary consideration should be given to calculated BTU loads and available power supply. A refrigerant line set is required to connect the E-FD to the Marine Air CS condensing unit.
*The unique compact modular design incorporates large plenum chambers for maximum efficiency
*Condensate drain pans are insulated to prevent sweating and have two ½” FPT drain connections
*Quiet, efficient, centrifugal blowers have fully insulated housings
*Large blower inlets provide maximum air flow across evaporator coils
*Charge Guard® protection provides sealed access ports, ensuring environmental protection and system integrity |
