Seldén is introducing a new gennaker bow sprit for deck assembly.
Basically, you fit two pad-eyes on deck in-line with a bow bracket. The bow bracket is a stainless ring with a polyamide (PA) inner lining through which you slide the bow sprit to active position. When you’re done with the gennaker, slide the bow sprit back and secure it to the aft pad-eye. The inboard end features a spring loaded plunger for easy attachment to the pad-eye.
The gennaker tackline is preferably pulled through the bow sprit. The line enters a well rounded hole in the outboard end and comes out through the inboard end.
Three different bow brackets will be available for various modes of installation.

Clothed in elegant, modern lines, the Comet 41 Sport is a natural addition to the COMAR Yachts series which already includes the Comet 51 S and the Comet 45 S. The volumes of the low, elegant deckhouse have obviously been very carefully designed as indeed has the roomy cockpit, which is also available in the open stern version with a very straight stem with rake angles maximised with respect to the LOA.The Comet 41 Sport has a composite construction using Airex sandwich with epoxy vinyl resin and multiaxial glass tissues. The fin keel boasts an elongated wing as per the IMS rule. However, solutions more in line with IRC and Open racing or cruising are also available.

Long and lean with great sail carrying ability, the C&C 131 promises exhilarating performance coupled with heart pounding good looks. Her stability and impressive performance numbers are made possible by C&C's advanced construction technology. A sail area to displacement ratio of 26.3 in this production racer/cruiser is compliments of C&C's Carbopoxy composite hull construction, resin infused composite deck, carbon fiber mast and boom, PBO standing rigging and carbon fiber rudder and post. Stability is optimized by a firm hull form and a low slung lead bulb on a high aspect ratio cast fin. To allow entrance into shallower harbors, a retracting fin of identical shape and weight as the fixed fin is also available.
