NEW DRONE RESCUE SYSTEM – base APR package for daytime operations. Continuous research and the application of technology for maritime safety have led Veleria San Giorgio to support this project developed with HDT and the Sant'Anna University of Pisa to provide fast, effective assistance in man‑overboard situations. The system focuses on reducing response time and increasing operational flexibility during sea rescue missions.

Main features

• Delivers a lifejacket specifically designed by VSG directly to the person overboard.
• Enables detection and localization of persons in the water, including night operations.
• Allows initial rescue actions without the immediate need to stop the vessel.
• Direct contact with the person is possible via an optional infrared camera (not included in the basic package) and a VHF unit delivered to the person.
• Controlled descent using a pulley-and-winch system (patented by HDT) for accurate delivery of the lifejacket.
