Umbilical International has the design and manufacturing experience to provide a range of tethers and umbilicals for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV). The live boat umbilical provides the operator with a secure connection to the ROV, allowing the umbilical to be used to recover the ROV in the event of power failure. This umbilical may have an extruded jacket or the outer jacket may be armored, depending on the operating requirements. It is common to find the extruded umbilical is very similar to the tether found on a Tether Management System (TMS), with the only differnce being the breaking strength. All of our design and manufacturing is performed at our plant in Stafford, Texas.
