The Acta Hercules and three sister vessels have been constructed at the Tersan shipyard. On 24 March 2026, Acta Marine announced that Acta Hercules had been delivered by the Tersan Shipyard in Türkiye. The vessel is the second of four newbuild Walk-to-Work (W2W) Construction Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions AS. Like her sister vessel Acta Pegasus, Acta Hercules is methanol-ready, equipped with dual-fuel main engines capable of operating on marine gas oil (MGO) or a blend of MGO and methanol. The vessel also features a hybrid power system with substantial battery capacity, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing emissions during offshore operations. These technologies support Acta Marine’s strategy to operate a future-ready, lower-emission fleet aligned with the growing offshore wind sector.
