Description

Overview
Effectively reduces boat movements by up to 50% with the SWI-TEC boat stabilizer. Especially recommended to reduce seasickness and to ensure a peaceful anchoring experience during longer stays.

Key benefits
  • Reduces rolling by up to 50%.
  • Increases comfort at exposed anchorages and in swell.
  • Simple, passive device: no electricity required and low maintenance.
  • Foldable design for compact storage in a durable, water-repellent bag (included).

Installation & placement
The stabilizer secures with a single external line slightly deeper than the hull (positioning depends on sea conditions). It can be mounted at the side, bow or stern depending on wave direction. Correct positioning (slightly deeper than the hull) is important to avoid contact with the hull and to allow proper water displacement.

Operation principle
  • The stabilizer is a box-shaped device with movable plates lowered into the water.
  • During downward motion the plates open to let water through; during upward motion they close and dampen movements.
  • The surface area and plate design create anti-roll braking resistance.

Usage recommendations
  • Depending on your boat’s weight, one or several stabilizers may be used; the website table recommends the number of units per vessel weight (maximum application up to approx. 25 tons depending on units used).
  • When using multiple stabilizers, mount both on the same side when possible (bow & stern deployment increases braking resistance).
  • Not to be used while underway; intended for stationary use at anchor or in port.

Storage & maintenance
Foldable elements allow easy storage in the included bag. Rinse with fresh water after use to avoid salt deposits. Check connecting elements, loops and screws for damage or corrosion. Only store dry in the bag to prevent moisture damage.

Additional notes
Not recommended in very rough seas or extremely high waves (risk to cleats/railings). Avoid placing too close to the hull or where underwater obstacles may interfere. When deployed at the bow, take care that it does not interfere with the anchor chain.
