Purpose: The Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) simulator reproduces a realistic shipboard and shore environment for training GMDSS operators and radio specialists. Designed for simulator-based training, competence assessment and demonstration of professional skills in accordance with STCW Code section A-IV/2 and applicable ITU/IMO requirements.

Instructor WorkPlace (IWP): The IWP software enables instructors to conduct practical GMDSS training, configure student equipment, alter radio conditions, inject interference, and monitor and record student communications and actions.

Student WorkPlace (SWP): The SWP is implemented as a software shell emulating GMDSS radio equipment. Calls and service data are output to a virtual printer. SWP provides realistic control panels and is available in a standard configuration (hardware console with built-in panels) or a compact PC-based version.
