Description

Overview
The Dufour 37 is a 10.77 m sailboat designed for coastal cruising: easy to handle, comfortable and conceived to fully enjoy life at sea. A collaboration with naval architect Umberto Felci, it features a well-balanced hull, a flowing cockpit and generous interior volumes for a boat of this size.

Layout, interiors and onboard life
The Dufour 37 emphasizes modularity and comfort: a large forward owner cabin with a central bed, optimized circulation in the saloon, abundant storage and light color schemes to enhance natural light. On deck, the Seaside Kitchen extends outdoor living and the spacious cockpit promotes conviviality. Large hull windows and deckhouse openings bring light below and offer wide sea views.

Performance & handling
A lively and responsive sailboat, the Dufour 37 is designed to be playful from the first gusts. It can be fitted with a self-tacking jib to simplify maneuvers and a genoa to boost performance. Three navigation packages are offered (Easy / Ocean / Performance) to adapt the deck layout and rigging to the mission (family coastal cruising, light offshore, or a sportier approach).

Construction and technologies
The boat is built by infusion (a process mastered by Dufour/Fountaine Pajot) at the yard near La Rochelle (Périgny). This method reduces exposure to harmful substances, improves part quality and repeatability, and meets CSR requirements.

Versions & modularity
  • 2-cabin version: forward owner cabin with central bed + large aft cabin, 1 shower room (version prioritizing volume and a large bathroom).
  • 3-cabin version: forward owner cabin + 2 symmetric aft cabins, 1 shower room (version maximizing berths for family/friends).

Key selling points
  • Interior volume and brightness (large hull windows and deckhouse openings, headroom approx. 1.80 m).
  • Owner comfort (central bed, headboard, privacy).
  • Spacious cockpit and ergonomic flow between cockpit and saloon designed for conviviality.
  • Seaside Kitchen: an exterior galley conceived as a summer kitchen, open to the sea.
  • Hull and balance signed by Umberto Felci: good seakeeping and lively behavior under sail.

Versions & equipment
The Dufour 37 is offered with several equipment levels and deck plans (Easy, Ocean, Performance) to tailor the configuration to intended use (coastal cruising, more committed passages, sportier sailing). Wheel stations are arranged to accept instrumentation and ensure good ergonomics (twin wheels, continuous handrail, clear sail visibility).
