Platform davit is a type of gravity cantilever davit with the function of gravity lowering and power recovering. It matches with a davit-launched type lifeboat, rescue boat, or combined lifeboat rescue boat. It is installed on the broadside of the offshore drilling unit used for launching, recovering and storing above the mentioned boat. The platform davit could also be used for launching and recovering workboats or other boats. Standard Platform davit is designed and manufactured according to the requirements of current SOLAS and meets the requirements of RES.
