OverviewThe Sport Weekender 42 is Nimbus's weekend cruiser designed to extend short trips with family and friends. It balances comfortable social spaces, practical deck arrangements and strong on-water performance. Key features include the air-lubricated twin-stepped hull, large fore and aft social zones, and multiple optional equipment packages for customisation.
Design and InteriorThe interior layout prioritises social use and overnight comfort. Foredeck and aft sunbeds and configurable seating areas create flexible lounge spaces. Below deck the boat offers two double cabins with accommodation for four people, plus a spacious bathroom with toilet and shower. The cockpit provides protection with a large windscreen and ergonomic helm seats with lateral support for reduced fatigue.
Deck, Social Areas and OptionsThe vessel includes a folding starboard side balcony that extends the lounge over the water at anchor. Available options include a hydraulic swim platform for outboards (doubling as a passerelle), an electric sun-top, an outdoor galley aft, an extended integrated swim platform and gyroscopic stabilisation. A new Targa T-top and an optional electric soft-top are also offered.
On the waterThe Sport Weekender 42 runs on an air-lubricated twin-stepped hull with a fine bow section and low planing threshold, delivering a dry and stable ride. Typical cruising speeds range 20–40 knots with top speeds above 45 knots. Standard propulsion examples include twin Mercury Verado outboards with Mercury Joystick Piloting and an integrated bow thruster for easy close-quarters manoeuvring. The helm seats three crew behind a large windscreen.
