New Naval's ScorLite is a compact, free-floating oil recovery skimmer designed for medium to small oil recovery operations for light to heavy oil recovery in varying environments and scenarios. The modular oil recovery system can be quickly changed from brush, disc or drum oleophilic recovery banks depending on the viscosity of the target oil to be recovered. The oleophilic technology utilized by the recovery banks allows the system to achieve recovery rates of up to 98% oil with a free-water content of 2% or less. The free floating light-weight system is designed to be easily and rapidly assembled and deployed in emergency response operations. Designed with a shallow draft and for portability, the skimmer is effective in operations from inland to nearshore environments.
