The history of the Navis autopilot product line dates back to 1995, when the development of the AP3000 was started. Since then, our autopilots has yielded strong reputation of reliable heading control systems for a variety of vessel types: from small tugs and river shuttle boats to mega-yachts and 180 m trans-atlantic cargo vessels.
The range of the autopilots manufactured by Navis Engineering includes two models: the AP3000 and the new AP4000. Both autopilots have MED-B and MED-D type-approval certificates issued by DNV, as well as type-approval certificates by RMRS (Russian Maritime Register of Shipping) and by RRR (Russian River Register).
The AP3000 has proven itself a highly reliable and robust heading control solution on hundreds of deliveries. Its oustanding performance was the reason we decided to keep it in the product range, although it was to be fully replaced by the AP4000.
