Description

The Lightwave 46 caters for the adventurous sailor with exotic locations in mind. Sleek eye-catching appeal, relatively fine sea–kindly hulls, ample payload provision, centralised weight dispersion, excellent beam to length ratio, and impressive bridgedeck clearance are critical design factors to the proven success of the Lightwave 46 Sailing Catamaran. The Lightwave 46 is a proven blue water performance catamaran, designed to optimally negotiate ocean going passages with minimal effort in absolute comfort. Easily handled by a cruising couple, it manoeuvres responsively and makes good passage distance to safely get you to your destination quicker. Lighter & Stronger At 7500kgs lightship, the Lightwave 46 is the lightest production cruising catamaran in its size range. The unique monocoque construction method ties interior composite furniture & parts into one extremely strong structure, highly resistant to torsional loads. Performance Options The Lightwave 46 is configured as standard, to suit a cruising orientated sailor. Mini keels protect the sail drive legs and rudders, allowing the catamaran to be beached. The aluminium rig & fore-beam, dimension flex ultra-laminate sails, and foam core fibreglass construction will satisfy most seafarers, however if additional performance is desired, a comprehensive range of options are available. Blue Water Cruiser Safety is prioritised and cleverly incorporated in the 46 design. With an emphasis on extended cruising, the design considerations and build quality of the Lightwave 46 aim to meet world class safety standards and incorporate key design features for safe blue–water cruising.
