RAVEN Model Eights are designed specifically for high level and elite racing. They are produced with 100% Carbon High Modulus woven fabric in a Vacuumed Resin Infusion Process, then Double Cured in our High Temperature Oven. The resulting shells have a superior structural integrity and strength not only in the carbon hulls and decks, but also in each of the high level Kaschper-crafted Hard Coat Anodized Aluminum components. The components have the highest level of adjustability and durability to ensure proper rigging options for every member of the crew. RAVEN's purpose is to give the utmost in support to the best RACING CREWS at the highest levels of fitness, skill, and desire! A worthy vessel for a thoroughbred Crew! The Infusion technique allows us to completely ELIMINATE the inefficient and fragile prepreg/ honeycomb process. Infusion of 100% carbon produces high strength, while creating lighter weight products with a slight give for increased impact protection. We continue to utilize the Kaschper Unideck System for structural integrity and longevity. Molding the entire cockpit and decks as single units without joints augments the overall strength of the shell, which increases 'on water stiffness' a great deal. To further enhance the beauty of the Raven, we leave the decks in their natural carbon form, covering them only with a durable layer of UV Protective PPG Clear Coat finish, polished to a glass-like, highly water-responsive surface.
